Oh fun... (The following is for NL based folks, but important for others, too).
So a while ago #Odido data leaked, remember? Now I got a phishing sms onto my phone quoting my actual account number. 😣
*** [ABN]: Na meerdere herinneringen blokkeren we de betaalpas van MY-REAL-ACCOUNT-IBAN. Om dit te voorkomen ga direct naar: PHISHING LINK STARTING WITH ABN. ***
Be careful out there and talk to your less savvy friends & relatives (yes, also the ones who think that they are).

@vicgrinberg@mastodon.social thanks for sharing. On the other hand, being in Canada, I was wondering why folks in Newfoundland would be getting spam texts in Dutch. Then I realized what was going on (need more coffee). (NL here stands for "Newfoundland and Labrador".)

@vicgrinberg@mastodon.social when I do get a SMS or mail from bank (ING and RABO), they ONLY state there is an important message in my banking site or app. NEVER any direct link. I thought that was the same for all dutch banks ?
