My favourite photo from that evening is, however, this one. Probably because of the contrasts. A very tired looking Sybic is hauling an equally tired looking rake of Corail towards Paris. But they don't have to hang on for long anymore. New trains, the CAF Oxygène EMU, will take over in just a few months. 🥲

The next morning, the door was indeed open, as promised by the owner. During a wonderful blue hour I cycled out to the railway line. SNCF connect said trains on time, Météo France said plain soleil. Perfect, this time, it will work out! #LaFranceTractée
