The next morning, the door was indeed open, as promised by the owner. During a wonderful blue hour I cycled out to the railway line. SNCF connect said trains on time, Météo France said plain soleil. Perfect, this time, it will work out!

Arrived at the photo spot and set up my camera. But wait, what's that grey wall in the sky back there? Sudden Fog! 😱 In only 10 minutes it completely covered everything. Out of the blue! In July! What the actual fuck?! I've never seen anything like that in 20 years of railway photography! No, no, noooooo! 😭 #LaFranceTractée
