# Trains pros/cons list vs planes, US edition
Pros:
+ Are trains
+ No dehumanizing screening checkpoints
+ Have actual leg room most of the time
+ Windows show nice things
+ Can get up and move around
Cons:
- Much more expensive (??)
- Much longer travel times (???)
- Amtrak website actively hates you and wants you to die (??!?)

@xgranade@wandering.shop meanwhile in places with fast trains: they use the exact same checkpoint system as planes (not everywhere, just ones i've experienced personally)
