@xgranade@wandering.shop meanwhile in places with fast trains: they use the exact same checkpoint system as planes
(not everywhere, just ones i've experienced personally)

@whitequark@social.treehouse.systems Wild. It's been a long time since I've taken European trains (thanks to COVID and [REDACTED]), but I didn't run into that last time I took the Heathrow Express or DB. I guess I underestimated how much things have gotten worse in the past few years.
