So I&#39;m learning French, and I watched Le Samourai (1967) movie with mastodon crowd. I was hoping to watch it with French subtitles but I couldn&#39;t find that anywhere, and my ear is too slow to pick up much without subtitles. But it was a fun new media experience. 1/

Now I'm trying to play a Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 in French for the first time with French audio and subtitles. It reminds me when I started reading novels as a kid with a dictionary on hand—instead of just inferring the wrong meaning at every new word. It's slow going. The first tutorial fight probably took me a half hour, but it feels so rewarding too. It's neat to not know and learn new things at every turn of the page or press of the button. 2/

@shanecelis Hey, I actually remember some of my terrible French from 25 years ago (which I was really bad at even then). "There is no more profound solitude than ... Samurai who ... tiger in the jungle. Maybe..."
