Well, just had my closest interaction with a bear in the yard while taking my girl dog out to pee. 😳
It was a 1 year old juvenile who really wanted to interact with her while she was barking her head off.
Closest was about 6 feet with me yelling “no” in my biggest lowest possible voice.
Weirdly, throughout my life, I have learned that yelling NO in a big voice is remarkably effective against many things. Including bears.
I would like a nap now.

@GavCortland@woof.group Omigosh...was this bear adult-size?...was there a bear parent anywhere nearby?...I have all the wrong instincts about wild animals, whom I wish to make my friends. It sounds like you did just the right thing. 🙏
