i was raised sort of baptist, bought into it in my early teens, and then yeeted the whole thing so far into space when I saw how much it was hurting me and those around me
imo christianity tends to be a double-bind that makes good people feel bad, and bad people feel invincible
fundamentally broken

game design-wise, the twin mechanics of “eternal afterlife” and “infinite forgiveness” combined with the premise of “and you’re a huge piece of shit no matter what who NEEDS that forgiveness” does seem to break most folks’ relation to reality and their own values can’t win here == fuck this life?🤷♀️
