game design-wise, the twin mechanics of “eternal afterlife” and “infinite forgiveness” combined with the premise of “and you’re a huge piece of shit no matter what who NEEDS that forgiveness”
does seem to break most folks’ relation to reality and their own values
can’t win here == fuck this life?🤷♀️

“why are so many christians actively antagonistic toward life on earth” hmmm maybe we shouldn’t have a dominant ethos which teaches “nothing you do here matters so long as you say the magic words. this isn’t even real life. heaven awaits, better hurry it up” seems to make a lot of baaaaad people
