40 years ago on July 6, I bicycled from Gladstone MB to Portage la Prairie to Winnipeg, to Prawda. This included crossing the longitudinal centre of Canada at -96.80927
This turned out to be the longest distance in trip unlike my comment earlier.
265km , maximum speed of 55.4 and whopping 34.0kmh average with luggage. Winds at 60 from the west.

Portage at Spence Street, 1896 vs now. A few more buildings and a bif pedestrian overpass. My claim to fame, cycling to Portage & Main and turning right towards Montréal.
