though we are slow to admit it, That Fuckin Guy is our civilization's truest face. he is everything we as a society have carved into our values: nepotism, greed, scamming, theft, disdain for truth, tackiness. we expect to somehow have our problems go away with him when he's only the apotheosis of our code

@cap_ybarra@beige.party This certainly is true, but I cling to the hope that we can make more people understand it. When you make excuses for unacceptable behavior, you get more of it, and eventually, you end up with someone like Trump, who wouldn't know a moral compass if you hit him on the head with one. We need a fresh start based on honesty, transparency, and community spirit. It's time to reinvent the US from the ground up, with far less materialism and far more inclusion.
