@davidnjoku@mastodon.world @paninid@mastodon.world I receive DMs from Bridgy whenever someone likes or replies to my posts over the bridge. There's a link to “respond” included in the DM, and when I go to that page, I can click a button to like their reply and/or reply to them.

@davidnjoku@mastodon.world Is that true, though? I’ve personally seen responses and have even gotten summaries of accounts not bridged responding to Fediverse posts which were shared there. Someone else more technically knowledgeable than me should opine, I’m just a lowly, normal user.

@davidnjoku@mastodon.world they don't, if you enable bridging for yourself and even if you don't, by default it sends a dm «someone unbridged interacted with you, here's webpage to reply» (at least for bsky->fedi interactions, but I expect it to be the same other way) @paninid@mastodon.world

@davidnjoku@mastodon.world yeah, I thought bridging was an amazing way to exist on both platforms but turns out the service creates an impostor on that site, doesn't _actually_ connect a damn thing.
