@cmccullough@polymaths.social I mean… I get not wanting to explain but if you really want people not to use it, and believe your reasoning to be rationale, wouldn’t you want to at least make… **some** claims? I’m interested in what your specific and most important reasons are! They don’t need to be exhaustive or anything but at least something bite sized would go a long way for your cause imo. Just my 2c

@cmccullough@polymaths.social I love what brave is doing, and the only reason I am not a paying customer is because its US-based and therefore its services are compromised from the get-go. Same goes for firefox, of course, but at least that one is beneficial against Google's browser engine monoculture. Edit: anyway, since i ain't switching for the reason cited above, i have no reason to "do the research". But i'd still be curious to hear what there is to say except "crypto bad brendan eich evil".

The problem is that all browsers have some objectionable baggage they tow along with them. Some people may find different things more or less objectionable. Brave is one of the browsers I use. I also still use Firefox (though I now find the Mozilla organization to be quite objectionable). #web #webBrowsers #Firefox #Mozilla #Brave

@cmccullough@polymaths.social When the founder wants me dead, it's rather disingenuous to ask me what other reasons I might have for avoiding the browser, but people keep asking. I dunno, folks. Seems like that's a pretty good reason. But sealions gotta sealion.
