Here is the view looking back toward the ridge and summit I had hiked up to last month in the Presidential Range of the White Mountains, NH. At this point, I was traversing along a contour of the cone of the highest summit before I looped back down to the trailhead. @TimKStanton@mstdn.social That’s Mt. Monroe above Lakes of the Clouds! There are showier Presis, but Monroe is still my favorite.

Getting excited about hiking up this mountain again later this week. Been waiting for a good weather window. Here is a view from my hike in May after a long scramble up a steep slab of rock in a ravine. The weather is predicted to clear later this week, allowing me to go up the other side of the ridge.
