@masukomi@connectified.com I think it's a little more nuanced. It's a mix of religion and cigarettes. Religion isn't as quickly addictive on its own. Likewise, cigarettes don't normally demand faith. This is something new.

@mason@partychickens.net I mean, a central tennet of his argument is that it provides instant gratification. We "pray" (prompt) for something to happen and it does, giving us abilities we didn't have to work for, just by asking. A miracle if you will. Miracles on demand are - understandably - kindof addictive.
