been thinking about the differences between the stereotypical puppygirl, robot/dollgirl, etc. there's some interesting stuff in there. the robotgirl/dollgirl differs from the puppygirl and also the catgirl because it is by far the most likely to be a workaholic. There's a kind of competency and ability implied there that is pointedly absent in the stereotypical puppygirl.

what illustrates this most effectively is the (stereotypical, i will reiterate) response to anxiety. The robotgirl, whether depicted as a loyal maidservant or a more independent thinking machine, will respond to high anxiety by finding something to do. (i identify with this, a lot). It might do the dishes five times over, or scrub the floors until they disintegrate, or something like that. The puppygirl responds to high anxiety by either jumping into something soft or begging someone for affection. The robotgirl is a much prouder creature.
