@root42@chaos.social Until late last year I used to have M1 Mini and a 2020 maxed out MBA with 10th gen i7. Those two were from same summer and the Intel one was absurdly bad towards the end, Final Cut would run like crap on it and the laptop's whole reason to exist was to make videos on the go. The M1 crunched the same videos a lot faster and didn't turn into a sauna. The i7 was replaced by M4 last year and the performance in video rendering compared to the M1 is insane, may have to upgrade the Mini too, which is my main video editing rig.
