@levieva@infosec.exchange @mathowie@xoxo.zone Maybe this XKCD comic can explain why this post was interesting for some folks? https://xkcd.com/1053/ I think the attitude in the comic applies to historical facts as well as "diet coke and mentos" trivia. There's all kinds of US history that people didn't learn in school due to bad teachers, bad textbooks, white supremacy, etc. And there's lots of stuff that folks might have known once but then forgot about later.

@levieva@infosec.exchange @mathowie@xoxo.zone I didn’t know about it either, pretty sure they didn’t didn’t go through every detail of american history where i went to school. Please make fun of me too so that i remember that learning new things is bad.
