It sucks when you meet some good people but things don't align with everyone to have a home on a platform that everyone likes. It's certainly part of how social media works today and has for years and will continue to do so going forward for a long time.
I guess it's time to find something new, something that works for me and something I enjoy.
I guess Mastodon is the only place I'm meant to be at this time. I have friends here, right? Y'all are my friends, aren't you? 🤪
I wish those folks all the best. They were some cool humans, but Discourse simply isn't for me, sorry.

@cliffwade@infosec.exchange I quite like Discourse, but I am an old forum-head from back in the day, with vBulletin and phpbb etc. I prefer it certainly to Discord, which I use grudgingly.

@cliffwade@infosec.exchange Whatever happened to how it used to be years ago, with AIM and IRC, a plethora of phpBB forums… those were the good ol’ days.
