@sar@social.elderlogs.net I was huge huge into forums, back in the early 2000's. Today, they are horrible and I can't stand them. Discourse is just forums behind a GUI, which is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in my 40+ years of using computers.

@cliffwade@infosec.exchange Discourse IS forum software, I don't think it tries to hide away from that. Unless the ones you've used have had some convoluted implementation or terrible theme? The one I use most is the one hosted by my distro devs, for EndeavourOS. They're pretty straightforward, which for me at my age is probably a good thing 😂 But I'm glad that forums still persist into this day and age. Blogs are starting to make a comeback these past few years, so hopefully we can get away from Discord and back to forum discussions.
