#Ontario what are your expérience/thoughts about #dehumidifiers with the high humidity we can have?
I’m using presently fans trying to dry the lower part of the garage walls. I read #Ottawa city publications following July 1st storm and they keep mentioning the use of dehumidifiers. But with +80% of humidity since the last days I can’t understand how this could work? It’s a genuine question!

@adelinej@piaille.fr Get a dehumidifier with a pump, which drains itself automatically. You have to run a thin drain line for the water, but otherwise, it only requires cleaning their air filter every week or so, and you should sterilize the collection bucket once or twice a month by washing it with chlorine bleach. Aim to keep the humidity below 50% to prevent mold from growing in your home.
