OK, so my next reboot of sundial might be sometime in Q1 rather than specifically in January, since *yelling directly at Intel* THERE IS STILL NO RELEASE DATE FOR A B770 But it looks like a professionally-oriented B70 model *will* offer a 32 Xe2 core BMG-G31 GPU with a projected release date of 2026 Q1. That will probably be a better fit for my use case anyhow.

Well, I *did* reboot Sundial in January after all, but only because of an extended power outage that outlasted my UPS¹. Still no B770 GPU announcement from Intel, or even a date for the B70 Pro. BUT All the other machines in the household fleet are now running kernel 6.19.6, *on Debian Stable*². stable-backports is tracking 14 days³ behind the tip of the kernel⁴.
