@mcmullin@musicians.today @sknob@mamot.fr @meljoann@topspicy.social I've always thought of time division as akin to numbers themselves -- when we divide anything (time, space, ??) into equal parts, we have a way to interface with it that suits our cognitive tendencies and limitations. (Why? Ummm...I don't know.) Even distribution also creates a consistent rigidity that's incredibly practical, e.g. a sewn seam. 1/x
