@PattyHanson@mastodon.social the original Tesla fallacy, that in some near future the cameras alone could make their vehicles sufficiently safe, continues to take lives… a forward facing radar w/ emergency braking would have avoided this horrible outcome. In Autopilot mode I’d regularly see hard phantom braking from my Model 3 when it mistook an overpass’ shadow on the road for something solid. The same never happened w/ my next car because its radar system actually works as needed.
