@jernej@androiddev.social good to know, thanks! I'll try that on a less-critical device and see if I can get it to work before I make changes to my daily driver.
(Getting Syncthing working initially seemed super janky, and I'm scared that if I look at it funny, it'll fall over... And the USB port has crapped out on this phone, so syncthing is my only way to get data off now. Yes, I know, I need to replace it, but my foray into *that* is yielding a whole 'nother round of yak shaving, so I'm limping along.)

@llorenzin@infosec.exchange ah, honestly I'd probably connect via wireless ADB and use adb pull from a laptop instead, it's usually the least janky option.
