@llorenzin@infosec.exchange ah, honestly I'd probably connect via wireless ADB and use adb pull from a laptop instead, it's usually the least janky option.

@jernej@androiddev.social wow, tbh I didn't know about wireless debugging! Thanks for suggesting it! I got around the Download restriction by using the built-in file manager app to move all the files out of download into a new download-sync directory, so at least I have them backed up now. Will definitely work on getting wireless ADB set up now that I have a complete backup and I'm less anxious about potential data loss. 😁
