@signalapp Signal war gut und wird immer besser. Viele sprechen von einer Alternative. Ich sehe es eher als DER erwachsene Messenger und das ist alternativlos. Bleibt eurer Linie treu.

@signalapp I ended up using your online backup service bc I support your mission, but also device-to-device transfer with wifi direct did not work for me. It only barely worked 9 months ago when I switched from Pixel 7 Pro to Pixel 7 Fold, and I never got it working from Pixel 7 Fold to Pixel 9 Fold 🤷🏻♂️

@signalapp I love signal, but even after abandoning all messengers except signal and matrix, my friends an family would rather send me SMS instead of downloading Signal. It's sad to see no one cares about their privacy.

@signalapp ...yeah, ONLY if the devices are compatible. My previous phone didn't have a backup my new phone could accept, and all my message history was lost. This was two days ago. 🤷♀️ (I am hopeful that the next time I change phones, this'll be no longer a problem.)

@signalapp An option for backup to a common cloud provider is a must. Please integrate with Nextcloud, or at least give an option to backup via something like WebDAV.

@signalapp New Fairphone 6 (in US, yay!). To transfer my account, (I don't need any message history), it says I must have Signal installed on both phones. I can't get the app on the new phone. "No eligible devices for app install". What am I missing?
