@Roquette@neopaquita.es @delta@chaos.social I don't disagree with you, but you missed step zero, which is where the normies fall off: install a new app.
(...and then do all the things that becoming familiar with a new app entails. The vast majority of people, sadly, do not have the mental bandwidth for this in their lives, especially as they're conditioned to expect a new app onboarding experience to be a hostile, gaslighting and adversarial obstacle course. )

@fluidlogic@oldbytes.space @Roquette@neopaquita.es Onboarding new people works best based on real-life situations. There is no global discovery, so usage has to start "small". We already have polls that highlight 67% of users struggle with this step. You are not alone. But it's also hardly a unique issue of Delta Chat. Almost any messenger app that is not named WhatsApp or Telegram has that. The top post was asking about what is unique :)
