@aphyr@woof.group What particularly sucks is that I would _very much like_ web standards bodies (WhatWG et al) to point-blank refuse to come to consensus on an age-signalling apparatus, from a political and philosophical perspective, but I also recognize that that refusal would effectively put every operator (and particularly small ones) in a bind. >:(

@owen@mastodon.transneptune.net I actually do not mind the idea of a voluntary HTTP header that parents (e.g. with parental restrictions on their child's phone/laptop) could make the browser send to opt out of adult content! But we all know the way this *actually* works is "you have to submit your ID to Apple to use an iPhone, and it leaks your age to everyone everywhere"
