@nzlemming@mastodon.nz Mastodon is opt-in text searchable these days (or opt-out? Not certain which default they chose). Since about a year ago IIRC.
Plus various efforts by random “federate with everyone and get all posts” mechanisms that pop up (AI-scraping and other).

@ewenmcneill@cloudisland.nz @nzlemming@mastodon.nz That search I gave Mark was showing things as far back as November 2022 on the first page of results which, I think, was before Mastodon became text searchable.
