My cousin's two sons run a quickly growing AI company in SF with global officers. My cousin recently has started posting AI slop to social media. Basically anything he posts goes through AI before he posts it. The latest is an AI generated poster complete with AI images of the three fire fighters who died in the fire on the border of Utah and Colorado. It's really sad and disgusting to see. This is a man with a PhD from Oxford and a highly published scholar in his field. And since retirement he's passed the fitness test for being a wildland fire fighter, is involved in his community, and is as sharp as ever. He's also clergy. But somehow posting AI slop of dead wildland fire fighters as a way of honoring them is okay. I'm so tired 🫩 #AISlop
