@JustinDerrick@mstdn.ca there's no evidence that those platforms are a problem and with all respect I don't think they're recognizable names.

@amyfallon@aus.social Those platforms aren’t problems because they’re not owned by TechBros. That’s why I suggested them as options. And they might be more recognizable if they were mentioned in the media and presented to their audience as an alternative foundation to build their online activism on. And for clarity, I’m reading this on mstdn.ca, and you’re on aus.social — how can you say that Mastodon isn’t recognizable?
