The real purpose of a system is what it does. And our system is not providing homes, food, medical care, or accurate education to people. It is doing something else.

@MissGayle@urbanists.social Yet another person who mistakenly imagines that "our system" is free market capitalism; as if the government does not control, directly or indirectly, huge swathes of the economy. Well, not really; "mistakenly" implies a lack of intent, and this person CLEARLY hates learning anything that might challenge their narrative.
