@QueerMatters@mstdn.social it'd probably be TLS 1.3 nowadays. if you haven't removed the TLS encryption it's likely forward secrecy is causing differences in the encrypted packets even when doing the same thing.

@novet@infosec.exchange gotcha. I was gonna see if I could do some analysis on the packets to see if I could figure out if someone watched a particular video, but maybe with the forward secracy thats a bit of a reach! The only thing I do have a match on is file size, but thats probably not the most accurate metric.
