@GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social I'm curious about when "Check for updates" becomes useful during a rollout. Is there a queue or something that it essentially skips?

@Unsightly3055@universeodon.com The update client runs a scheduled update check with a 6 hour interval. It only runs when the OS considers there to be working internet access as determined by having at least one available network passing connectivity checks if those are enabled as they are by default. It also depends on not being below the battery warning level determined by the OS by default, although it's not unsafe if it runs out of battery while installing an update. It can be rebooted safely during install.
