How many GrapheneOS users are there currently? I know you don't do telemetry, but update volume should give you an idea. Wikipedia states about 400k. I find it hard to believe that low of a number. I understand there are currently several barriers to getting new users (must have Pixel device, must be able to unlock bootloader, must be unafraid of flashing new OS, etc.). I haven't been using GrapheneOS very long, but I can't imagine going back to Google's version of Android.

@BoloMKXXVIII@mastodon.social We think 400k is a good estimate based on update downloads. It could be higher but that would mean a lot of people aren't updating regularly via our over-the-air update servers. Pixels aren't available everywhere and there aren't enough used devices for everyone to get them cheaply. For example, Mexico only got Pixels after the Pixel 10 launch so there aren't many used devices for people to buy there yet and the demand is too high compared to the supply of devices right now.
