@flargh@mastodon.social I’ve had to call a state or regional office with CA business tax questions once or twice, and they were great too. It wasn’t IRS, but maybe honor code among government tax pros?

@zackstern@hachyderm.io The comment I got today was, "We're not just working for the IRS, but we're also taxpayers, so we get it." That hit me so hard. That's a level of empathy that cannot be taught but only experienced.
