@zackstern@hachyderm.io The comment I got today was, "We're not just working for the IRS, but we're also taxpayers, so we get it." That hit me so hard. That's a level of empathy that cannot be taught but only experienced.

@zackstern@hachyderm.io At the risk of a "not all men" diatribe, it probably helped that I was talking to a woman. The only negative experience I've had (recently) was with a dude.
