@gvenema@fairmove.net @lisamelton@mastodon.social Meanwhile I was frustrated by how quickly Chrome kept throwing new shit at the wall and saying "this is now the way", as though the old way to do something was completely useless now. It felt like an anti-competitive attempt to railroad the market onto using Chrome when the web devs kept gobbling it up. And now everything is Chrome...

@endrift@social.treehouse.systems @lisamelton@mastodon.social It is not as though Apple Inc. didn't have the money to hire a bigger team... Just wasn't the goose... My worst exeriences were of course with Internet Exploder. That you had to inform a customer that they had activated a compatibility setting in their group policies and now had to look up the setting for the exlusions. Or the many ways their Office team managed/s to fuck up webdav compatibility, so you have to trace down their weird new obscure settings.
