I wonder if anyone has studied moral OCD (scrupulosity) in social justice circles.

The conventional wisdom is that moral OCD usually crops up in people with strict religious upbringings, but I've noticed a whole lot of leftists who don't fit that description following a lot of the patterns you see in people who have it.
