The conventional wisdom is that moral OCD usually crops up in people with strict religious upbringings, but I've noticed a whole lot of leftists who don't fit that description following a lot of the patterns you see in people who have it.

I'm saying this as someone who had some OCD tendencies growing up, which developed into full blown moral OCD after I got biggish (a bit over 10k followers) on social justice Twitter years ago.
