In this case, I didn't even do anything wrong. People were looking to get mad, so they mocked me for talking about how to help with an ongoing global humanitarian crisis, because they read what I said in bad faith and ignorance. But it was hard to have that perspective on it when so many people were treating me like I'd done something horrible.

When people act like that, how the fuck are you supposed to calibrate what you post and how you say it? I was constantly exhausted, because I was trying to predict every possible reaction to the things I said. I lost a lot of confidence in my ability to interact with people in real life too.
