@elgringomexicano@mastodon.social @jbjrkng@hachyderm.io uKids have already found their way around face recognition by using computer game charaters, they will find ways to circumvent a lot of this, what does worry me is if they government decide to fiddle with things like VPNs, as that could have wider implications. Even back when adult magazines were on the top shelf out of reach, kids got hold of em, even if it was copies of H&E (which is a natrist magazine), they got hold of that too. This is not simply about nudity, Posts promoting self harm as a response to mental health issues, or promoting far right or other extemism, mis information etc etc, of course there are ways around that by teaching critical thimking and how to search for and verifiy information, this requires ALL curriculum subjects to adapt to teach that too i think. People such as Andrew Tate offer great influece, so kids need positive role models BOTH offline and in the online world too.
