But you can technically live in Canada for 6 months (tbh probably 1 yr bc you can extend your visitor record from w/in Canada) while working remotely for a US business (as long as they don't operate in Canada). However, you would probably still need ties to the US to show that you intend to return at the end of your visitor's stay. Also, you'll have no health insurance.

    @kagan@wandering.shop Your job is probably covered under CANUSMA, so a Canadian company could hire you w/o having to do a LMIA. BUT the tech economy here is Not Good. Other than that, unless you speak French, citizenship by descent would probably be your best option (tho will take like a year to get approved).
