@tchambers@indieweb.social @kajord@hachyderm.io I'm not sure what kind of data they're going to get. A list of the TV shows we watch? I have the listening features turned off on my smart TV and my Roku sound bar, which is seldom used, requires me to push a button to talk to it, and I don't. So they're not eavesdropping. I'm trying to understand the problem here beyond general invasion of privacy, which we encounter every time we leave the house, use a phone, or buy something with a credit card.
