@JeroenBaten@mastodon.nl I'm not sure cheap insults count as clever, never mind 'sick burn'. Also, staring is very rude. Does a grown man not know that? Where I'm from, you can get stabbed for it.
So the 'joke' here is apparently: My elderly father has no filters or manners, and lamely tries to insult strangers who dare to call him out on his poor conduct -- which he then confirms with even worse conduct.
It's a good joke on its own, but the packaging -- "Unusual people deserve abuse." -- is terrible.

@wesdym@mastodon.social @JeroenBaten@mastodon.nl Is it an old person thing? I’m in my 50s and the last time I gave my older neighbor a ride to the store she came out and proudly told me about how she ripped in to the young cashier because she couldn’t immediately tell her where the garlic bread was located. She was proud of herself and I was horrified and I’ve avoided taking her to the store since because I don’t want to be responsible for that and I don’t want them to think I am like that because those kids are lovely.
