In the land of positive news, my #1 granddaughter asked me to buy her some books from a middle-school series. I demurred due to lack of cash but suggested we try interlibrary loan. Jackpot! and when I finish this toot and after I play with Ollie dog, I'm off to the library to pick up 4 out of 5 books now ready.*
One of the things I would do if I were rich (hahahahahaha) would be to put on my Carnegie costume and invest some tens or hundreds of billions into libraries all over the world. The ROI for libraries is infinite. Whereas investing in data centers is more likely than not to collapse at least the US economy if not the world's.
*I am pleased to have at least one grandchild hooked on reading. She said the four books I'm about to pick up will last her about a week.
Heigh ho, heigh ho, off to the library I go.
😇

@bkahn@beige.party One of the things I would do if I were rich This is why the 99% will never be billionaires. Once you have more money than you could spend in your lifetime, people start looking around and fixing all the broken shit. Billionaires have a peculiar mental illness that seriously needs to be investigated.
