@isagalaev@mastodon.social @valpackett@social.treehouse.systems A USB-C device is required by the spec to include two resistors on the CC1/CC2 signal lines to declare itself to be a USB-powered device, with current consumption controlled by resistor values combinations, this is in contrary to the legacy USB-A spec which used resistors on D+/D- to signal charging status. If a vendor just replaced the USB-A to USB-C, chargers will not enable power output.
