If he had used a term from that historical perspective when the phrase “basket weaving courses” was au current it would have been one from the 1920s, and people would have rightly ridiculed him. Let us hope they do so today.

@IanAMartin I keep thinking surely there's a limit to that guy. I'm pretty sure the students are fully aware of the job market already. He probably thinks all arts courses are "basket weaving", and the only subjects of value are direct job training.
