A surprising number of people on bikes this morning. On a typical commute I might see 10 or so. Today it was more like 50! Fair-weather cyclists, you're still cyclists. Another VULC social ride in the can. 20 km through the rolling hills (ahem) of East Van. Unpopular opinion: removing the fuel excise tax and the previous removal of the carbon tax on gasoline does not help the consumer in the long run, it puts more money into the hands of the petroleum companies.
